About Me
Hi! I’m Gabi — the baker, content creator, cat mom, and vintage-finding, rollerblading, gym-going human behind Bonia Bakery. I’m 100% Polish, born and raised in Connecticut, and fluent in Polish (yes, I speak it at home and while baking pączki!). I grew up learning how to cook and bake from my mom and Babcia, who always had something sweet in the oven and flour on their aprons. That’s where my love for baking started — and it's only grown from there.
Now, I spend my time dreaming up new recipes, baking both nostalgic Polish treats and classic American desserts (plus anything sweet in between). I also have a big soft spot for food photography and love sharing my creations on Instagram and TikTok — it’s where I connect with fellow food lovers and get to sprinkle a little sugar into people’s lives.
When I’m not baking, you can usually find me lifting at the gym (I’ve got a degree in Exercise Science!), going for a hike, rollerblading in the summer, skiing in the winter, or hunting for antique treasures. I also love the beach, traveling, and spending time with my younger-but-taller brother whenever I get the chance.
And of course, I can’t forget my two cats, Basia and Bonnie — my fluffy coworkers and the inspiration behind Bonia Bakery (their names morphed into one sweet little brand!).
